About Dean
After graduating from Kutztown University with a BFA in Communication Design, Dean started his 23-plus-year marketing career as a Reprographics Specialist in the in-house print shop at a local utility where he combined his design skills with extensive knowledge of the production processes to produce a variety of marketing collateral.
In 1996, Dean was promoted to Advertising Specialist where he was involved in a branding initiative resulting in a company name change from Met-Ed to GPU Energy. He was also responsible for universalizing advertising for the company across two states, eliminating duplication of creative, production and administration efforts while yielding an annual savings of $250K.
Dean left GPU Energy in 1997 to become Account Director for Montgomery & Partners, Inc., a Bern Township advertising agency. There he successfully repaired a damaged relationship with a $1MM customer while servicing nationwide customers such as Exide Technologies, Kimberly-Clark and the Fireman's Fund.
Dean moved back to the corporate side in 1999, when he accepted a job as Manager, Electronic & Marketing Communications, for Sermatech International, a protective coating company servicing the aerospace, chemical processing and electric utility industries. There he was responsible for creating and implementing among other things, a reverse auction web site that saved the company thousands of dollars in purchased services and a spare parts web site that demonstrated a return on investment of 269% within the first six months of use.
In the summer of 2003, Dean left the corporate world once again and joined tomsheehan worldwide, a Reading, PA-based advertising agency. As Vice President - Client Service, Dean was responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies for The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Carpenter, The Metal Improvement Company and Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania.
Now, as Managing Member of his own branding and marketing communications company, Dean is leveraging his 20-plus years of experience in the corporate world and agency environment to provide marketing solutions for helping businesses grow.
